Bangla Tigers Squad 2019, Team Players, Schedule & T10 League Predictions

Lack of experience is what might cost the Bangla Tigers, a franchise owned by Prominent industrialist, renowned shipbuilder of southeast Asia and owner of FMC Group of Companies, Yasin Chowdhury. The franchise is all set for their maiden appearance in the tournament.

The side is packed with seven players from the Bangladesh national team, certifying the fact that they are here to represent their nation. The squad also has three South African players and one player each from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Australia, England and UAE. Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera will lead the side and they will be coached by former Bangladesh international player Aftab Ahmed. Perera is also the icon player of the side.

Colin Ingram, Rilee Rossouw and Chiraj Suri are the specialist top-order batsmen in the side. The Tigers like the Bulls and Nothern Warriors and the Maratha Arabians have looked to pack the side with all-rounders. They have as many as six all-rounders in the squad including skipper Perera himself and Australian international James Faulkner. With the regular batsmen, the all-rounders can also chip in with important contributions.

As far as their bowling attack is concerned, Liam Plunkett and James Faulkner are the only bowlers with a good T20 reputation behind him. Bangladeshi spinners Mehedi Hasan and Arafat Sunny are the specialist spinners in the side. However, that they lack international experience makes them an easy prospect for opposition batsmen.

Therefore, Perera, Plunkett and Faulkner will have to share the load of the bowling attack amongst themselves for the best result.

Cricket, however, is a great leveler. Some of the most inexperienced teams can make wonders in a tournament and this is a great chance for the Tigers to turn the tables in a new format. They have nothing to lose and the players can only hope to learn the trade from this great tournament.

Their chances to succeeding in this tournament rests on how the experienced players of the team play in the tournament and how well they play in the pressure moments. Guiding the youngsters in the team will also be an area that the experienced players will have to work on.
