IPL 2020 Schedule : It is Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians on 19th Sep

The schedule of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) is yet to be officially released by the IPL Governing Council. But Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has spilled the beans by dropping a huge hint about the IPL 2020’s opening match.  

Rohit while paying a tribute to his former captain and just retired MS Dhoni has literally revealed that their opponent in the first game will be Chennai Super Kings as he is waiting for Mahi at the toss on 19th September. 

 “One of the most influential men in the history of Indian cricket. His impact in & around cricket was massive. He was a man with vision and a master in knowing how to build a team. Will surely miss him in blue but we have him in yellow. See you on 19th at the toss @msdhoni”.

“We know everyone is waiting for the league’s schedule. But we will still take 7-8 days to finalize the schedule for IPL 2020. We still have to do the recee of the grounds and the stadiums, once all is done we will release the schedules”, said IPL chairman, Brijesh Patel.

As per the schedules released in the month of February, defending champions Mumbai Indians were scheduled to meet Chennai Super Kings in the first game of IPL 2020 in Mumbai.In the new schedule as well now with Rohit’s post literally confirms that MI will play CSK in the opening game of IPL 2020. But will the opening game played in Dubai or AbuDhabi that is yet to be decided as per the info available at InsideSport end.IPL 2020 will be a 53 day event and on 10 of the day double headers will be scheduled. On the day when two matches will be played in a day, first game will start at 3.30PM and the second match will be scheduled at 7.30PM. I

Calling MS Dhoni, one of the most influential men in the history of Indian cricket, Rohit Sharma reminded fans that we will miss him the blue jersey but he will continue to play and don the yellow jersey for Chennai Super Kings in IPL.

Rohit Sharma, who will lead Mumbai Indians in the 13th edition of IPL, also tagged MS Dhoni and said he will see former India captain at the toss when IPL 2020 kickstarts on September 19.Dhoni had shouldered the responsibility of taking CSK to 10 playoffs out of 11 seasons and winning three titles, while Rohit, who became the captain of Mumbai Indians in 2013 has led them to four triumphs.Dhoni retired from all forms of International cricket on Saturday.
