The format of the 2023 Cricket World Cup is designed to create intense competition while ensuring every team has a fair chance of progressing to the final stages.
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be the 13th edition of the tournament and will exclusively take place in India. Initially scheduled from 9 February to 26 March 2023, it was rescheduled to October-November 2023 to accommodate COVID-19.
India, which co-hosted previous tournaments, will host the entire event for the first time in 2023. The top seven teams from the Super League and the host (India) are expected to qualify. The 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier will involve five teams, including two associate sides advancing to the championship match.
In this edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup, ten teams will compete in 48 matches across ten stadiums worldwide, following a round-robin and knockout format. The schedule for the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 is yet to be released by the ICC.

India will host the 13th edition of the ICC World Cup in 2023. This marks the first time the entire tournament will be hosted solely by India, making it a historic moment for cricket fans worldwide.
