The Dallas Cowboys have lost their fifth game in a row when they went down 34-10 to the Houston Texans. This does not however seem to bother some of the players like Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs who seem optimistic about their team and their season. Parsons was speaking on his podcast, The Edge with Micah Parsons on Tuesday, where he made a strong statement on the Dallas cowboys.
Micah Parsons is of the opinion that, the Cowboys are a good team. The star linebacker has not changed in his mind as he firmly feels that the Dallas Cowboys have been able to change their defensive mission since the fans saw them going 3-7 at one point. “I’m gonna put this out there, we’re a damn good football team,” he said during “The Edge with Micah Parsons”. “I understand these scores are showing it and I know people think we have so many pieces missing… I believe our defense has really turned things around. Until that last quarter when they got that defensive touchdown, we only surrendered two touchdowns in the first quarter. Other than that, we gave up six points in the other two quarters.”

The Cowboys have had to go through many challenges this season. They lost quarterback Dak Prescott, a hot-seat coach in Mike McCarthy, and the roof at AT&T Stadium was caving in. Parsons does however remain optimistic about the Cowboys and even claims they can go on a playoff run with Cooper Rush, the backup QB, as the starter.
The Cowboys fans loyal to the NFL have seen their team lose for the last five consecutive games and look forward to some ray of hope.
The Cowboys did not take long to limit Houstons field goal opportunities during the second and third quarters after allowing 17 in the first quarter. The only score for the Texans in the fourth quarter was on a strip sack, and they scored their last touchdown a while later. It is possible that if dallas continues to play the kind of defense, they might snatch a win soon.

This season a big blow seems to have been Parsons absence and the struggling cowboys defense. Parsons came back from a twisted floppy ankle and featured in six games where he managed to register his first sacks since the injury in his very first game following the injury. Parsons was Dallas’s leading sack man last season with a career best 14 sacks and is the ignition for Dallas defense hoping to turn the ship for the next stretch of the season.
