As one source stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambition of hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games in India has significantly progressed.”

“They say, “This monumental opportunity could bring substantial benefits, promoting economic growth, social advancement, and youth betterment of the entire nation.”

The country’s top sporting officials including IOA President PT Usha were present in the Paris Olympics held this year in order to market the selection of India. There are indications that India would make efforts to include yoga, kho kho and kabaddi as indigenous disciplines if the bid is won.

The Mission Olympic Cell of the Sports Authority of India is on the task of drafting a detailed report citing the measures needed for a successful bid with the new sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

It has identified six disciplines in which it hopes to win medals. The sports that have been earmarked are yoga, kho kho, kabaddi, chess, T20 cricket and squash. PM Modi has spoken before about the importance of the Games for Indians.

During his discussion with athletes on Independence Day he requested their help in the preparations for hosting such a mammoth event that occurs once every four years. “India is getting ready to become the host of the 2036 Olympics.

In this regard, getting feedback from athletes who participated in previous Olympics is crucial. While you are training or competing, a lot of things must have been seen or experienced by all of you. We want to record it and pass it to the government so that in the preparation of 2036, we end up not missing out on any little detail. this is a common scenario, “This is the common scenario, PM Modi remarked. “Even though everybody wants India to host the Olympics in 2036 Perform all of the tasks with the skills.

This is a dream which has to be constructed with your help and your support.” There was much emphasis on presenting India’s cause, which sparked some controversies over whether or not there is “potential” for India to host the Olympic Games. India meanwhile joined 9 other countries which have expressed their interest to host for the 2036 Games and support was received.

The initial 10 countries who have shown such interest in bidding to host the 2036 Competition are Mexico (Mexico City, Guadalajara-Monterrey-Tijuana), Indonesia (Nusantara), Turkey (Istanbul), India (Ahmedabad), Poland (Warsaw, Krakow), Egypt (New Administrative Capital) and South Korea (Seoul-Incheon).

The selection process which entails considering potential host nations in detail will be supervised the IOC’s Future Host Commission. In a few years, a verdict on the host city is anticipated.
