Former Watford and Valencia coach Javi Gracia has taken charge of Al Sadd.
Gracia moves to the Qatari champions to succeed Xavi, after he left for Barcelona last month.
The Spaniard, 51, has been out of work since his sacking by Valencia in May.
Having worked in Greece, Russia and England, this is Gracia’s first job outside of Europe.
