Qatar will be hosting many heartwarming and exciting sports events in the New Year 2020 and one of these is the Like a Mother Like a Daughter Bicycle Ride 2020 which is slated for the 21st of January.
Information about Like a Mother Like a Daughter Bicycle Ride Event and its Purpose
The race has been planned in order to draw all the generations for participating in a healthy activity like cycling and also for encouraging the bicycling community for savoring their time spent together doing this pleasurable activity. The first bicycle race will be assembling the mothers, grandmothers and daughters/sons. The race has been planned for fostering the culture of cycling as a healthy sport along with encouraging participation in sports overall while building a healthy spirit of rivalry, competition and love amongst families.
The race also aims at encouraging and spreading the culture of sports across generations while boosting health awareness. The fundamental objectives of Qatar Vision 2030 will also be achieved in a major way via the Like a Mother Like a Daughter Bicycle Ride 2020 event.

Vital information about Like a Mother Like a Daughter Bicycle Ride Event
The race will be held on Tuesday which is the 21st of January, 2020 and participants are required to gather at 5 PM. The race begins at 6 PM and the venue will be the Lusail International Circuit. The distance of the race is 5.38 kilometres with a roll inside the ring. The age limit is more than 6 years for children and more than 9 years for girls and boys.
Regulations of Like a Mother Like a Daughter Bicycle Ride
Participants in the race should not be suffering from any chronic disease/ailment. They should know how to use a bicycle and should adhere to all safety instructions covering the bicycle, shoes and helmets among other aspects. There will be conditions for participants, i.e. Grandmother/Mother/Daughter/Son and Older Sister/Youngest Sister/Brother aged below 9 years that will have to be followed. Age limits are not there for Grandmothers and Mothers although the son has to be lower than 9 years for participating.
Procedure for Registration of Like a Mother Like a Daughter Bicycle Ride
The Registration process for Like a Mother Like a Daughter Bicycle Ride 2020 can be done via the online link. The fee for registration is QR 100 for the mother and QR 100 for the child inclusive of a snack and shirt. Participants will also be getting a commemorative medal with the race name in tandem with a jersey. They will also be given water and fruit.
