Norway and Switzerland

In a must-win game for Norway, they delivered an impressive 6-0 victory against the Philippines. Frida Maanum’s determination and effort led to an early breakthrough, setting the tone for their dominant performance. Sophie Roman Haug and Caroline Graham Hansen added two more goals, and an own goal from Alicia Barker contributed to Norway’s commanding win.

Meanwhile, Switzerland faced co-hosts New Zealand and played a spirited game to secure a goalless draw, which was enough for them to top Group A. With Lia Walti and Noelle Maritz holding the defense strong, Switzerland has yet to concede a goal in the tournament.

Both teams are now through to the knockout stage, with Switzerland set to face either Spain or Japan on August 5. The Women’s World Cup continues to be an exciting tournament, and our Gunners are making a significant impact on the world stage
