Recently, the Blast Pro series announces multiple tournaments all over the world. The new locations for future Blast Pro Series events include Lisbon, Sao Paolo, Miami and Madrid. The Lisbon event will start on the 14th of December 2018. It has a prize pool of $250,000.
Blast Pro series Lisbon will see a total of 6 teams in participation. They will compete in a single Group and a Round Robin format. The top two teams will then play in the Grand finals competing for the prize money and the title.
The tournament organisers have announced Natus Vincere as the last team to receive an invite to Blast Pro Series Lisbon. The CIS-based team has two of the world’s best players on its roster. Despite this abundance in skill, the team does not have the necessary results at the top. They are the winners of the Blast Pro series Copenhagen 2018. They won the Grand finals 2-0 against the Ninjas in Pyjamas.
The Blast Pro Series attendees
- Natus Vincere
- Astralis
- Faze Clan
- Cloud9
- Made in Brazil
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
Each team has its own unique story as we head closer to the event. The tournament provides a chance for every team to possibly reach the Grand finals. Since the maps are pre-decided, teams are preparing for their Group stage accordingly. The last edition of the tournament saw the Ninjas in Pyjamas secure crucial wins over teams like Astralis, Made in Brazil, Cloud9 etc. They also had a 15-15 Draw against Faze Clan. Their eventual Grand final appearance was a very meek affair. Natus Vincere’s confidence and their superior skill set ensured that NIP did not have a chance in the Grand finals.
Blast Pro Series is owned by the RFRSH Entertainment Group. They also have a stake in Astralis and recently received a huge amount of funding. They have a big commitment to esports and the Blast Pro Series.
