Now playing for the Bangla Tigers his young Sri Lankan teammate Kevin Koththigoda’s bowling action has taken the T10 league 2019 by storm.
Playing for the Tigers, Kevin Koththigoda has bowled to the likes of Shane Watson and Anton Devcich in their match against the Deccan Gladiators.
His bowling action has taken the internet by storm. Cricket followers from around the world are comparing his action to that of former South African spinner Paul Adams who had a ‘frog in a blender’ during his playing days. You can watch Kevin’s bowling action below.
Kevin Koththigoda bowled a wicketless spell against the Gladiators on Saturday, while picked up the only wicket of the Tuskers innings that of Johnson Charles on Sunday.
The Sri Lankan spinner Kevin Koththigoda has come up the ranks from U-19 cricket which was his first exposure to international cricket. Since then, he has played in several T20 leagues and his action was a talking point in every one of them. Kevin was roped in by Bangla Tigers in this edition of the T10 league. His unusual bowling action is the USP of the Tigers banking on which they are looking to march ahead in the tournament.
“He has a very unusual action. It’s like that of Paul Adams. The action wasn’t coached or anything, it came naturally to him. Initially, he was struggling with the length as he couldn’t see the pitch, but he has improved tremendously,” his coach Dhammika Sudarshana said during his Under-19 days to Cricbuzz.

The Tigers have played two games so far in the tournament and are the table-toppers at the moment in group A. While they lost their season opener against Deccan Gladiators on Saturday, they registered their maiden win in the tournament against Karnataka Tuskers on Sunday.
