The esteemed women’s tournament will mark its 25th year anniversary and will take off starting February 16. This remarkable year will feature the best and most competitive women tennis players’ events over the last one quarter of a century. In other tennis news, organizers of the 2025 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships have gone public with an early opening offer worth twenty percent discount for the first full three days of on-court action across both its WTA 1000 and ATP 500 events.

The country’s oldest and therefore most popular annual tennis tournament will be held next year from February 16 to March 1 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium.

The two championships, WTA and ATP, will be held consecutively, which will run over the WTA week, celebrating the glorious 25th anniversary of the women’s century-old tournament and followed by the men’s event, now on its 33rd year.

The player line-up for 2025 Championships is about to be disclosed and no doubt, it is going to be star-studded. Since the women’s tournament got a permanent WTA 1000 ranking, not only residents but also visitors to Dubai can look forward to the top 10 WTA players among whom will be Iga Swiatek World’s No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka three-time Grand Slam champion, 20-year-old American Coco Gauff and the defending champion Jasmine Paolini of Dubai.

Ramesh Cidambi, the Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free and the Chairman of the tournament’s Organizing Committee expressed, “I can’t wait to see some of the best players of this sport coming to the city.”

“Dubai has emerged as one of the most favorite cities for both ladies and gentlemen players from around the World in as far as tennis is concerned and I expect that this will not stop,” says Cidambi. He reiterated the fact that the city can support a number of high quality events with the best athletes in the sport. With Richard rising up to such a high status as a coach at one of the most significant tournaments in the calendar, the city will be ready for new competitions. It is also clear that the city takes due care to ensure that both players and the crowd will have a very special time.

“Next year is the silver jubilee of celebrating 25 Years of the WTA Week. The date on which we put our tickets for sale therefore is more like that of planning. As usual, we are hoping to have two good weeks of tennis again.”
