Chelsea news: Cesar Azpilicueta reveals which Barcelona player fans hate

CHELSEA defender Cesar Azpilicueta has revealed which Barcelona player will get frosty reception at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea host Barcelona in their Champions League last-16 tie this evening (7.45pm)

However, the La Liga giants have not beaten the Blues in any of their last seven meetings while star man Lionel Messi has not scored in any of his eight appearances.

But in 2009 Andres Iniesta scored a 90th-minute semi-final goal which denied Chelsea a spot in the final on away goals.

And Azpilicueta thinks the Spain international has still not been forgiven and should expect a fierce reception when he arrives in west London.

I think that Andres continues to generate nightmares and I do not think he is well received,” Azpilicueta told Spanish newspaper AS.

“At the moment he scored that goal that put Barca in the final in Rome.

“That changed his history so much and I think the Chelsea fans are still with that right in their hearts.”

However, the Chelsea captain is also wary of the dangers that Iniesta and his team-mates possess.

“I can tell you that we are very excited to be able to move to the quarter-finals, although it will not be easy,” he added.

“It is always interesting to play against a team that has many of the best players in the world.

“Barca plays well, knows what to do at all times and the challenge is exciting.”
