Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane made a triumphant entrance into the Bundesliga

Recording a debut goal and an assist in a 4-0 victory over Werder Bremen in the opening match of the 2023/24 season.

In the clash between Bremen and Bayern, the scoreline unfolded as follows: Bremen 0-4 Bayern.
Goal details: 0-1 (Sané 4′, assisted by Kane), 0-2 (Kane 74′, assisted by Davies), 0-3 (Sané 90′, assisted by Müller), 0-4 (Tel 90’+4, assisted by Davies).

The reigning champions swiftly asserted their dominance in a packed Weserstadion. Just four minutes into the game, Jamal Musiala provided the ball to Kane, who deftly flicked it to Leroy Sané. Sané surged past the Bremen defense and calmly slotted the ball past Jiri Pavlenka, securing an early lead. A brief hope for Bremen was dashed when Niclas Füllkrug’s goal from a free-kick was rightfully disallowed for offside.

The momentum largely remained with Bayern, marked by efforts such as a Senne Lynen shot well saved by Sven Ulreich. Both Musiala and Noussair Mazraoui narrowly missed the target with powerful long-range shots, while Kane’s attempt was blocked by Milos Veljkovic.

Bremen’s offensive struggles continued into the second half, as they managed only one shot on goal in the initial 45 minutes. However, their attacking efforts intensified early in the second half. Mitchell Weiser fired over the goal, followed by Füllkrug’s clever pass to Leonardo Bittencourt, who narrowly missed the target from close range. Füllkrug himself attempted to find the net but was thwarted by Ulreich.

The game’s dynamics continued to unfold, with Bayern showcasing their prowess. Kingsley Coman struck the post with a splendid curling shot, and Kane’s shot from outside the box was impressively saved by Pavlenka. Jens Stage reminded Bayern of the ongoing contest with a powerful 25-yard strike that narrowly missed the target.

Kane’s persistence was rewarded as he found the net, driving in a shot from Alphonso Davies’ pass, further extending Bayern’s lead. Late goals from Sané and Mathys Tel solidified a comfortable victory for Thomas Tuchel’s side, emphasizing their dominance on the field.
