In a pivotal match against the leaders of the ABA League regular season, Dubai Basketball sustained their supremacy before the playoffs by outlasting Budućnost VOLI at home for their 13th straight victory as they continued their habit of dominating the final quarter (79:75).
Budućnost VOLI was regarded as the toughest competition in the entire Dubai basketball league. The Montenegrin side arrived in Dubai as the league’s toughest challenge. Remarkably, the away team was the one that rose to the occasion, enduring grueling pressure while extending their streak to 13 unbounded victories. They placed top three on the league table and are preparing for the playoffs set to begin on the 11 of May.
Jurica Golemac, head coach commented, “That really felt like a great deal for us. Unbelievable focus in that 2nd halve preventing the home team from score to just 27 points.” Golemac’s praise was not only directed to the players, “Shout out to fans and players round of applause they deserve it. Dubai utilize 4 from 4 quarters to out class Dubai winning 79-75.”
Abass’s sick duck with absolutely no bearings and only scoring twelve to cover the twenty seven point gap that Buduchnost set was absolute madness and with only 4 500 people screaming at the coca cola arena makes Dubai the winning MVP award classy.

The fourth quarter showdown of the Dubai Basketball match had the audience in a frenzy after it came down to a two point difference. Captain Klemen Prepelič showing up in the clutch sealed the game with a victory guaranteeing free throw.
There was also drama off the court this night. Dubai Basketball matches come with once in a life time prizes. The last week of the regular season of the ABA League was very special to some people like Filip Bakoch who won Dh 20,000 in a Challenge after hitting a lay-up, free throw, and a three pointer in less than 30 seconds.
This allows Dubai Basketball to secure a position in the top 4 of the league, which also gives them a home court advantage in the playoffs. They will host Cedevita Olimpija on Sunday which will be a monumental game for the club.
In regards to Dubai Basketball’s sixth player, Golemac mentions the need for the team’s fan base saying “We are calling all the fans to come next week – in seven days – for the first game of the playoffs. We are going to need their support more than ever.”
