Dubai: The whole world’s eyes are on UAE as Asian Superpowers India and Pakistan are due to square off in the Champions Trophy in Dubai on 23 February.
But the only question everyone still wants to ask, yet no one has, is where to get tickets to see these guys go head-to-head in the biggest fight of the year.
Ticketing uncertainty for Dubai matches
Pakistan is staging the Champions Trophy on a hybrid system as the Indian government didn’t allow their national team to visit Pakistan. The India team will play Bangladesh (February 20), Pakistan and New Zealand (March 2).
Although the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not released the price of tickets, there are reports indicating the price for Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. But tournament organizers haven’t set prices for matches in Dubai yet.

A lot of websites have tickets and they want you to sign up but it’s still a matter of time.
Long wait teeters fans
This long delay in announcements has put fans waiting patiently to clinch seats and be present at the historic showdown. India and Pakistan had never seen each other apart from International Cricket Council (ICC) matches. They played last time out in Ahmedabad, India swept with seven wickets to win the 2023 50-over World Cup.
The beginning price of the Champions Trophy tickets had been fixed earlier by the PCB at 1,000 Pakistani rupees (Dh13.18), as per PTI report last week.
But there is nothing in the report to suggest price of tickets for matches in Dubai, which was opted as a neutral venue to accommodate India’s matches and perhaps a semi-final and final, should Rohit Sharma’s team make it to these knockout games.
As per the list, the PCB has decided to make the lowest Ticket price for the General Enclosure at 1,000 PKRs for all matches in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. But for Pakistan vs Bangladesh game in Rawalpindi, general enclosure cost goes up to 2,000 PKR (Dh26.35) and for semi-final it goes up to 2,500 PKR.
Tickets for general admission will cost 18,000 but there is no word on how many tickets each person can buy at a time or if tickets are sold only in-person or at ticket booths.

The country hosting the event usually sells the match tickets and keeps the gate income and hospitality box revenue, as per the ICC event rules. That is besides hosting fees to the ICC.
Dubai tickets sales operated by PCB
Since the ICC had picked Dubai as a neutral site for India’s series, an insider informed that the PCB feels it is entitled to keep gate money receipts and hospitality box sales for the games played in Dubai such as the mega-match on 23 February against relegations India.
“Obviously the Emirates Cricket Board will tell the ICC and PCB ticket prices for different enclosures in Dubai and the ticket price for hospitality box sales before it is confirmed,” the source told me.
