Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh’s inspiring journey, spanning his legendary cricket career and his personal battles off the field, is set to be chronicled in an upcoming biopic.

Bhushan Kumar and producer Ravi Bhagchandka are teaming up to bring the life of cricket sensation Yuvraj Singh to the big screen. This biopic will vividly portray Singh’s extraordinary career and personal journey, offering audiences an in-depth look at the remarkable achievements and challenges faced by the cricket star.

The retired cricket star mentioned that this film has the potential to inspire a lot of people. I feel very honored that Bhushan and Ravi will be sharing my story with millions of my fans worldwide. Cricket has been my biggest passion and pillar of support during both good and bad times. Yuvraj, as reported by the project team, expressed his wish for this movie to motivate others to conquer their obstacles and chase their aspirations with relentless determination.

Kumar, famous for movies like ‘Animal’, ‘Srikanth’, ‘Drishyam 2’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, and more, discussed the movie focusing on the extraordinary accomplishments of the iconic cricketer. The film will encompass everything, from displaying his memorable six sixes at the 2007 T20 World Cup to documenting his brave struggles outside the field.

From his early days as a promising cricketer to becoming a cricketing hero, and later, a real-life hero through his personal battles, his story is nothing short of inspiring. The film, co-produced by Ravi Bhagchandka, known for his work on “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” and “Sitaare Zameen Par,” promises to bring Yuvraj Singh’s remarkable story to life. Reflecting on his connection with Yuvraj Singh , Ravi shared, “Yuvraj has been a dear friend for many years. I’m deeply honored that he has entrusted us with the task of translating his extraordinary cricketing journey into a cinematic experience.

About Yuvraj

Speaking of Yuvraj’s impressive career, he made his debut in the Punjab Under-16 cricket team when he was just 13 years old. From 2000 to 2017, Yuvraj participated in 402 international matches for India, achieving 11,178 runs with an average of 35.05, including 17 centuries and 71 half-centuries. He was a member of the Indian squad that clinched the ICC Champions Trophy 2002 (co-champions with Sri Lanka), ICC T20 World Cup 2007, and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

He was the initial Indian player to hit six consecutive sixes in an over in international cricket, achieving this feat in the 2007 T20 World Cup match against England. He reached his career peak by winning the ‘Player of the Tournament’ title in the 2011 World Cup, scoring 362 runs in nine games including one century and four half-centuries, and taking 15 wickets. In the year 2011, cancer was detected in him. The movie serves as a homage to his exceptional career in cricket.
