The Arun Jaitley Stadium hosted a massive crowd on Thursday when Virat Kohli returned to the Ranji Trophy after 13 years. The Delhi & District Cricket Association’s match against Railways saw fans arrive early to see the legendary cricketer play in the domestic tournament.

The excitement resulted in entry point congestion because the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) initially used only one gate for access. The Delhi Police stated they implemented additional gate openings to ensure proper crowd management.

The entry process encountered a rush because DDCA was operating through a single gate. Soon, the other gates were opened.  Delhi Police reported that no injuries occurred during the event.

The massive crowd at the stadium showed that Kohli has enormous popularity among domestic fans. Kohli’s participation in the Ranji Trophy generated exceptional attention while establishing him as one of India’s favorite cricketers.

Mohd Gul Nawaz traveled from Uttar Pradesh solely to attend the match. I traveled to this place specifically because of Virat Kohli and I know this entire crowd came because of him.

Supporter Shantanu Mishra shared this view by emphasizing Virat unmatched impact on Indian cricket.

“There is a huge crowd here.  Mishra noted that he had never seen such a large audience at a Ranji match before.

The large attendance we see here at this event could only be attributed to Virat Kohli. No other factor could explain the massive attendance at this Ranji Trophy event. Crowds like these are typical in Mumbai but they do not happen in Delhi. This crowd is here for Virat Kohli.”

Fans arrived at the venue early to obtain the best possible view.

The committed fan Akash Kumar stood by since the early morning hours to support Virat Kohli.

Virat has been my favorite player since I was a child. I have come from Sindhora Kalan.  Kumar stated that he began waiting at 5.30 am to watch him play.

I’ve never witnessed such large attendance at a Ranji Trophy game before. Fans in this stadium show more enthusiasm for Kohli than any other aspect of the event.

The large attendance at Arun Jaitley Stadium demonstrates Kohli’s enduring influence within Indian cricket. The Ranji Trophy competition gained renewed energy from his presence.

After a rough patch in Test cricket Kohli made his comeback to domestic red-ball cricket in India since his last appearance in 2012.

At 36 years old, he faces intense pressure to rescue his Test career while critics highlight his technical issues that have infiltrated his gameplay.

Railways made 241 all out in their first innings at the Ranji Trophy match in Delhi before the former India captain got his chance to bat on the opening day.

Delhi reached a score of 41 for one at the end of play with Kohli expected to bat on Friday.
