Trent Alexander-Arnold Nearing 200th Premier League Appearance Milestone

Trent Alexander-Arnold is on the brink of achieving his 200th Premier League appearance for Liverpool as they welcome AFC Bournemouth to Anfield on Saturday.

The vice-captain of the Reds made his debut in the top flight for his beloved club as a substitute against Middlesbrough in December 2016. Since then, he has contributed 12 goals and 54 assists in Premier League matches.

Within the current squad, only Mohamed Salah has more Premier League appearances for Liverpool, standing at 219.

Liverpool has maintained an undefeated streak in 12 consecutive Premier League fixtures, comprising seven wins and five draws. This is the longest unbeaten run among all teams in the division.

The forthcoming game might mark the 350th goal scored at Anfield in the league during Jürgen Klopp’s tenure if Liverpool finds the net.

Mohamed Salah has netted goals in eight of Liverpool’s previous nine league matches at Anfield. Impressively, he has notched eight goals from eight encounters against Bournemouth and is the sole Liverpool player to have secured a league hat-trick against them. This feat was achieved during a 4-0 victory away in December 2018.

In the prior season, Liverpool’s commanding 9-0 triumph over Bournemouth equated to their largest-ever top-flight victory. This achievement matched the record set by Manchester United and Leicester City in the Premier League.

When facing each other at Anfield, the two clubs have contested nine times across all competitions, with the home team clinching victory in eight instances and a single game ending in a draw.

Notably, Nathaniel Phillips spent the latter part of the 2021-22 season on loan at Bournemouth, contributing to 17 appearances in the Championship
