India convincingly defeated defending champions England by 68 runs in the T20 World Cup semifinal, securing their spot in the final against South Africa. After being put into bat in a rain-affected match at Providence Stadium in Guyana, India posted 171 for seven, led by captain Rohit Sharma’s 57 and Suryakumar Yadav’s 47. England struggled in their chase, collapsing to 103 all out in the 17th over, unable to recover from early setbacks against India’s spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, who took three wickets each.
