Ruud Van Nistelrooy disappointed by Man United exit

Ruud Van Nistelrooy

Ruud van Nistelrooy, who is now the manager of Leicester City and formerly a striker for Manchester United, has recently revealed that he left Manchester United after a very short period of being an interim coach.

I see why the new manager, Ruben Amorim, wanted to bring in his people but that still disappoints van Nistelrooy who has known the club for years. Van Nistelrooy managed to finish at United in the shadows of Arik ten over Ten Hag’s sacking, but Amorim’s arrival convinced him other ideas were on the table and that if they were, he was quite willing to let go.

In a nasty statement, Ruud van Nistelrooy stated that it was tough to him being part of Manchester United as he chose to move on and denied fans of the club who he had great affection for, along with the rest of the staff members. The memories were fresh in his mind after having been assistant to ten Hag not so long ago.

“I was disappointed, yeah, very much so, and it hurt that I had to leave,” “The only job I would take as an assistant was at United because of the bond that I have with the people in the club and the fans.”

The emotional toll was heavy, but Ruud van Nistelrooy confessed that he managed to accept what happened. In other words, he appreciated factoring in Amorim’s perspective.

“I talked to Ruben Amorim about it, the conversation was grateful, man to man, manager to manager, and that helped a lot to move to… straight away different talks, which raised my spirits,” van Nistelrooy said.

Van Nistelrooy’s career includes some of the most known clubs in Europe, and his five seasons with Manchester United and 149 goals made him a fan favorite. After successfully finishing in England, he passed along to Real Madrid before eventually transitioning into coaching.

This is also true for van Nistelrooy’s recent appointment as Leicester City’s manager, which came at a time when the team was 16th and struggling in the Premier league. He’s coached teams in troubled spots before, and so he is particularly keen to ensure Leicester do not get relegated using his experience.

“Yes, I understand it,” Ruud van Nistelrooy said, alluding to the fact that he played for FC Den Bosch, “It’s not all about Real Madrid, all fans are raving about Manchester United, but my first professional appearance was in the Netherlands so I had to do some fighting” As he readied himself for Leicester’s clash with West Ham United, the combative inclination in him and his commitment to make it at Leicester was clear.

Nonetheless, as the Leicester team is preparing to meet Western Ham on Tuesday van Nistelrooy’s objective is still to change the team’s fate for the better.

These qualities, teamed with his deep playing and now managerial experience, should be instrumental in Leicester’s struggle against relegation in the Premier League. Ruud Van Nistelrooy is quite focused on his work as he is looking forward to proving his capabilities as a coach in his new position at Leicester.
