Ronaldo leads Al Nassr to Saudi league title with 4-1 win over Damac

Cristiano Ronaldo fired in two goals to secure Al Nassr the Saudi Pro League title on the final day of the season thanks to a 4-1 victory against Damac, with Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman also netting for Jorge Jesus’s side.

With the victory, Al Nassr ended on 86 points, two ahead of local rivals Al Hilal, who beat Al Fayha 1-0 but were forced to settle for second place.

The victory sees Al Nassr win their first league title since 2019, the first Saudi title for Ronaldo, who moved to the club in late 2022.

Mane opened the scoring in the 34th minute when he connected with Joao Felix’s corner and sent a headed effort past the goalkeeper.

Coman added their second in the 52nd minute, weaving away from a challenge and curling a left-footed shot from outside the area into the bottom corner.

Damac were given a glimmer of hope when Morlaye Sylla scored from the spot in the 58th minute but it was extinguished just one minute later.

Five minutes later, Ronaldo extended the lead to two goals again, curling a brilliant free kick into the net for 3-1.

And in the 81st minute, the Portuguese great sealed the deal. After a Damac defender failed to clear a ball from the six-yard box, he fired home.
