At the end of the sixth day at the fourth GCC Games Doha 2026, and due to be held from 13-22 May, Qatar continued to top the overall medal tally with a total of 109 medals.
But Qatar, who have 39 gold, 38 silvers and 32 bronzes — never been more dwarfed by their neighbours? The Qatari athletes won an additional 13 medals—3 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze—in athletics, bowling and table tennis on Sunday 17 May.
Saudi Arabia is second with 61 medals (24 gold, 19 silver and 18 bronze), and Bahrain third who have a total of 54 (22 gold, 20 silver and 12 bronze).
Oman came fourth with 25 medals — 10 gold, four silver and 11 bronze while the United Arab Emirates finished fifth with a total of 44 medals including eight gold medals, 15 silver medals and 21 bronze. Sixth is Kuwait, who had a total of 41 medals (7 gold; 12 silver; 22 bronze).
Later on Monday, the fourth GCC Games will resume with competitions in snooker, padel, volleyball and handball.
