The Clutch Pro Tour held the Al Ain Championship over the weekend at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club, Abu Dhabi, with the title going to Callum Farr (Eng) after rounds of 67, 67, 64 for a 12 under par total of 198.
The 54-hole tournament, which was locally sanctioned under the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) umbrella, had a full-field entry 154 players, with local boys and girls taking on many of the UAE-based top players and both males and females including over the Clutch Tour, showcasing their skills all season this 2025 Q1 as their foray into competition heads into the second half of the 2025 season.
Callum Farr was one of the five players in the last group to start the final round, in fifth place for Trinifold Sports. He opened his final round with three birdies over the front nine, which he played in 32.
Three more birdies coming back on 11, 15 and 16 brought him home in another 32 for a closing 64 and a 12 under par week for a one-shot victory from both Haider Hussain (The Kendleshire) and Jack Cope (Eng).

Local accolades contained the top tallyer, Sana Tufail (Am, Yas Links Abu Dhabi) who shared the Ladies Divisional Award in T36 with her score of 3-under par and Thomas Buchard (Am, The Els Club) was the best local UAE male on 2-under par in T42.
Director of Golf, Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club Shane Peacock said after the final round: “We have a tremendous three days of Golf at the highest level. That is great golf anywhere to have three guys break 200 over three days. That is nice to see, especially when at least some home-grown UAE talent put up a fight against the future champions.
Shout out to all the winners and the high performers for their scores, etc. The players can be extremely proud of their performances. All those shown at Al Ain this week – most likely headed to the highest levels of world golf – are names to watch for sure … maybe sooner than we think on the elite Tours of the game worldwide.”
As a result, Callum Farr jumps straight to the top of the Clutch Pro Tour Rankings with 440 points, while Hussain and Cope share second with 247.50 points.
With a £50,000 (approx AED 237,988.95) prize fund, Callum Farr took home £8,000 (approx AED 30,000) for first place plus an invitation back to Al Ain next month to compete in the HotelPlanner Tour (formerly the Challenge Tour) event.

The next step of the Clutch Pro Tour takes place in La Vie in Oman from 25th March followed by another tournament in the Sultanate the next week at Al Mouj Golf.
