ICC U-19 World Cup 2020 Introduction

ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2020 is an upcoming cricket tournament which is all set to start from 17th January 2020 to 09th February 2020. It will be the 13th edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup which is going to held in South Africa for the second time. The 2020 U-19 Cricket World Cup gets underway from 17th January 2020 when hosts South Africa taking on Afghanistan in the opening encounter of the tournament at the De Beers Diamond Oval in Kimberley. India is defending Champions of the Under-19 World Cup. India U-19 team will start their campaign on 19 January against Sri Lanka at the Manguang Oval in Bloemfontein. The final match of the tournament will be played at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on 09 February 2020.

There are 16 teams participating in the tournament which is divided into 4 groups. The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the Super League, with the bottom two teams in each group progressing to the Plate League. All the 16 teams of Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2020 will be fighting it out to get as high on the Points Table as soon possible and qualify for the Super League stage. Bangladesh cricket team won their first ICC Under 19 World Cup after defeating favourites India by 3 wickets in the final match of tournament at JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom on 9th February 2020.

Set a revised target of 170 runs after a brief rain interruption, Bangladesh won the match with 23 balls to spare.
