Set to begin in second week of April; No Ranji Trophy for the first time in 87 years of the tournament
MUMBAI: Buoyed by the successful hosting of the Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, the first of any cricket in India since March 2020, the BCCI has now set itself on the path to host a couple of more domestic tournaments – the Vijay Hazare and a one-day tournament for women – in February and March, followed by the Indian Premier League (IPL) in April.

- Cheteshwar Pujara (Rs 50 lakh)
- Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Colin Ingram, Mark Wood and Moeen Ali have all given themselves a base price of Rs 2 crore
- Hanuma Vihari (Rs 1 crore)
- Arjun Tendulkar at Rs. 20 Lacs
- Dawid Malan, the No. 1-ranked T20I batsman, has also registered himself for the auction1.5 crore

- Shakib Al Hasan is one of 11 players to be listed at the highest base price of INR 2 crore
- Aaron Finch, Umesh Yadav, Hanuma Vihari, Marnus Labuschagne, and Sheldon Cottrell have all listed their base prices at INR 1 crore
IPL 2021 auction: Who are the other players to miss the auctions?
Australian pacer Mitchell Starc, who was dubbed as a hot-property for the upcoming auctions, has not registered in the list of players. This will be the third IPL edition Starc has decided to miss.
Australia’s James Pattinson, who was released by Mumbai Indians, has also decided to take a break from IPL.
IPl 2021 auction: Players who will be up for grabs
Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar has enlisted for the IPL 2021 auction. The youngster will be up for grabs at a base price of Rs 20 lakh. He played the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament for Mumbai and has been training with Mumbai Indians for a few years.Another player who has been confirmed is Sreesanth. The veteran pacer will be returning to IPL after seven years. His base price is Rs 75 lakh. IPL 2021: 1097 players register for IPL 2021 Player Auction
The IPL Player Registration closed on 4th February, 2021 with 814 Indian and 283 overseas players signing up to be a part of the IPL 2021 Player Auction. The Auction will begin from 3PM onwards.
