who has been highly successful as the head coach of Western Australia since 2018, has led the team to eight domestic titles, including consecutive Marsh Sheffield Shield wins after a 22-season drought.
Under his guidance, Western Australia has also won three of the last four Marsh One Day Cup titles and the past two KFC BBL titles, finishing as runners-up in another. Now, Voges will have the opportunity to lead the Australia A squad in two four-day and three 50-over matches later this month, alongside the assistance of former Test captain Tim Paine, who is stepping into senior coaching for the first time.
While Voges admitted that the appointment came as a surprise, he is excited to work with new players and observe the emerging talent closely. The series, scheduled to begin on August 28 in Queensland, will provide a chance for the players on the verge of the Australian national team to showcase their skills on home soil. The matches will take place at either Allan Border Field in Brisbane or Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay.
