South Africa tightened their grip on the second Test against Australia at St George’s Park in Gqeberha on October 21, 2026, after a strong bowling display left the visitors struggling. Australia lost wickets regularly while attempting to respond to South Africa’s first-innings total of 425 for nine declared. Left-arm fast bowler Marco Jansen spearheaded the attack, troubling the Australian batters with pace, bounce and movement. The hosts entered the fourth day with momentum after captain Temba Bavuma’s outstanding 179 had transformed their innings.
