What is Twitter New Policy Regarding Blue Tick??

Time is running out for everyone to have a legacy blue tick on their Twitter profile. The microblogging network said on Friday that, as of April 1, it will stop using the blue ticks for historically confirmed accounts.

This is thought to be the Elon Musk-owned app’s strategy for growing its premium Twitter Blue membership service. The platform has in the meanwhile urged users and organizations with historical blue ticks to enroll in its flagship program to keep their verification badges.

So according to the new policy, the stars and celebrities who have the verified account will have to pay to maintain this. there are monthly charges to have this verification.

Twitter Blue is priced at $11 for iOS and Android and $8 for the web in the US.

Some of the top Twitter personalities with a massive followings have lost their verified blue tick marks, as the micro-blogging site rolled out the new policy.

Among the top star who don’t have blue ticks anymore are: Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Alia Bhatt; and global celebrities Oprah Winfrey, Robert Downey Jr., Kim Kardashian, and Blake Lively.

Even Bill Gates, JK Rowling, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Harry Styles don’t have check marks anymore. Indian politicians like CM Yogi Adityanath, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi also got their marks removed.
