Deepti Sharma complemented her effort with an unbeaten 106 off 86 balls, also hitting 15 fours.

Vaishnavi Sharma Leads India’s Bowling Attack

Zimbabwe faced a challenging chase of 329 runs but found it difficult to maintain the required scoring rate against India’s bowling attack.

Vaishnavi Sharma stood out with four wickets, making an important contribution in only her second women’s ODI appearance.

Deepti also impressed with the ball, finishing with figures of three wickets for 32 runs after her century.

Modester Mupachikwa scored 49, while Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano added 46 to offer some resistance.

However, the visitors could not build the partnerships needed to threaten India’s total.

India Secure the Series Ahead of the Final ODI

The victory followed India’s comfortable nine-wicket win in the opening ODI, ensuring the hosts claimed the series with a match to spare.

Deepti’s century was particularly significant, marking her first ODI hundred since May 2017 and ending a wait of more than nine years between centuries in the format.

The final match is scheduled for October 28 in Vadodara, giving India another opportunity to complete a clean sweep.

Zimbabwe, meanwhile, will look to improve their performance and finish the series on a positive note.
