Rohit’s Remarkable ODI Record

Rohit reached the 12,000-run mark in his 290th ODI appearance. His career tally includes 34 centuries and 62 half-centuries.

Looking Ahead to the 2027 World Cup

Rohit’s ODI career has also been closely associated with India’s campaigns in recent ICC Men’s Cricket World Cups.

After leading India to the final in 2023, the veteran opener remains focused on the future and has expressed his intention to continue looking ahead to the 2027 World Cup.

Speaking about his ambitions, Rohit said:

“The thought will never cross my mind that the business I had is finished. As long as you’re playing, there is always something to look forward to.”

He added that he is looking forward to the 2027 World Cup and the challenges that come with playing an ICC tournament.

Rohit highlighted the unique challenges presented by major international tournaments, where teams face different opponents and play at different venues.

He said players need to prepare differently and adapt their approach depending on the conditions and opposition.

With another major milestone added to his career, Rohit continues to remain focused on contributing to India’s ODI campaign and preparing for the challenges ahead.
