England have left fast bowler Brydon Carse out of their squad for the third and final Test against Pakistan at Edgbaston, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed on Wednesday.
Carse Misses Final Test
The 31-year-old Carse also missed the second Test after being arrested following an incident outside a nightclub in Derby.
He remains under investigation by Derbyshire Police, according to British media reports.
Sonny Baker Retains His Place
Carse’s replacement, 23-year-old left-arm pacer Sonny Baker, has retained his place in England’s squad for the final Test.
Baker will remain part of the squad after England took an unassailable lead in the three-match series.
England Seal 2-0 Series Lead
England have dominated Pakistan in the opening two Tests, securing a 2-0 series lead.
They defeated Pakistan by an innings and 103 runs at Headingley, before recording another convincing 194-run victory at Lord’s.
England Target Series Clean Sweep
With the series already secured, England will now aim to complete a 3-0 clean sweep when the final Test begins at Edgbaston next Wednesday.
Pakistan will look to finish the series with a victory and avoid being swept in the three-match contest.
