Eden Hazard can score 40 goals this season, says Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has heaped praises on Eden Hazard after his fantastic performances against Cardiff City on Saturday. Hazard was brilliant for the Blues last weekend as his hat-trick helped his team beat their Welsh rivals 4-1 and pocket three points at the Stamford Bridge.

Talking about his performance, Sarri praised him and said that he can score 40 goals this season and win the Premier League Golden Boot. Sarri also added that he spoke to Hazard about this and told him that he can score 40 goals this season before claiming that he could the best player in Europe.

'We have spoken and I told him he can score 40 goals. He has to improve some things, but he can do it,' Sarri said. Sarri's career as the manager of Chelsea has got off to a brilliant start as the Italian's side have won all their five games this season and Hazard's performances are one of the main reasons why the Blues are on top of the table.

In his five appearances for the club this season, Hazard has netted five times and is sitting at the top of the goal scorers chart ahead of his Belgian teammate Romelu Lukaku, Liverpool's Sadio Mane and Fulham's Aleksander Mitrovic, who have scored four goals each.

Though Chelsea are sitting at the top of the table, Sarri feels that his team needs to improve in a few areas and Manchester City and Liverpool are better than them right now. However, he also vowed to take Chelsea as the best team in England in the next few months.

'My target is to become the best team in England in one year, 18 months. That's the target. We have to improve step by step. I think my opinion in this moment, two teams, Liverpool and Manchester City are better than us, he added.
