Revealed: Cristiano Ronaldo’s salary at Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Juventus from Real Madrid this summer for a transfer fee worth £88 million. Now, according to a recent report, the Portuguese star is also the highest paid player in the Italian league, that too by a huge margin.

In fact, Ronaldo earns more than three times of the second highest paid player in the Serie A. As per reports, the 33-year-old pockets a massive £28 million in salary each year. Gonzalo Higuain, who is the second most paid player in the Italian league, as the Argentine earns a salary of £8.6 million.

Visibly, there is a massive difference between the salary of Ronaldo and Higuain, clearly indicating how Juventus were very keen to acquire the services of the four-time Champions Leaague champion. He is still goalless from the first three Serie A matches, but it has usually been the case with Ronaldo as he tends to start the season slowly, before regaining his old form as the season progresses.

He is keen to adjust and adapt quickly, and hence has asked for a leave from his national duties in order it helps him to settle well in Turin. The positive fact is that Max Allegri’s team is yet to drop a point in the league yet, and hence the surroundings around Ronaldo are bright enough to facilitate him to adjust to the rigors and the demands of the Italian league.

Especially next month onwards, the Champions League matches would commence and hence it would be essential for Juventus’ team management to ensure that Ronaldo regains his best form. He was signed to bring European Glory back to Juventus, as Ronaldo has consistently defied odds and general negative viewpoints regarding him whenever someone tried to question his abilities.

Last season around, he scored 15 goals in the UEFA Champions League, playing an integral role in Zinedine Zidane’s surge towards Real Madrid’s third consecutive Champions League title. As of now, it remains to be seen whether Ronaldo returns to his goal-scoring form, and provides justice to his hefty salary in Italy.
