ROMA legend Francesco Totti believes Mohamed Salah still hasn’t reached the best of his abilities yet.

Salah has been a revelation at Anfield since signing from Roma in the summer and his £34million price-tag looks to be one of the deals of the season.

Only Harry Kane has managed more goals in the Premier League this season and Salah has already notched up 30 strikes in just 36 games.

The Egypt international’s performances have been crucial to Liverpool’s top four hopes so far and his six goals in the Champions League have meant the Reds are being considered as dark horses to win the competition.

It comes just two years after he was let go by Chelsea after struggling to break his way into the starting line-up.

A short stint in Italy saw him re-establish himself as one of Europe’s most exciting wide players.

And Totti, who spent two season playing alongside Salah, claims the 25-year-old will only get better because of his attitude to the game.

“The level he is playing at at the moment, he is one of the best players in the world — and I think he can and will get even better,” said Totti.

“I know him well, he is a good friend and wants to keep ­improving, to keep ­getting better as a player.

“He does all the right things, he trains hard, he works hard, he listens to the coaches – that’s why, as good as he is playing at the moment, I think maybe there is even one more level in him.”

Salah will be aiming to add to his goal tally this weekend when Liverpool return to action after a 10-day break when they host West Ham on Saturday (3pm).
