Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Joshua Kimmich believes that Cristiano Ronaldo is the more complete player when compared to Lionel Messi. Speaking to Bild, the midfielder stated that while Messi is a dribbler, the Portuguese is more of a finisher.
The Portugal captain has scored 42 goals in 39 games this season despite having a terrible start and has helped Real Madrid reach the semi-final of the Champions League, where they are set to Bayern Munich.
And Joshua Kimmich hopes that Bayern successfully stop his run while also labelling him as a 'goal machine'.
'When it comes to goal quotas, Ronaldo is in the lead. Especially with regards to the goals in the Champions League.
'Messi is a completely different type of player. Ronaldo is perhaps more complete in terms of skills themselves.
'Messi is more a dribbler, Ronaldo the final player. I cannot say this one or that one. I am glad that I am allowed to witness both.
'Such a player as Ronaldo, you can only turn off as a whole team anyway. He is a goal machine, which has an insane goal quota. We have to make sure that he cannot continue his run.'
Real Madrid will take on Bayern Munich in the semi-final tomorrow. The pair faced each other in last season’s Champions League last season where Real Madrid trumped the Bavarians 6-3 on aggregate.
The German giants will miss Arturo Vidal through injury for the rest of the reason and Joshua Kimmich will have to play with more responsibility against the Blancos.
