Chelsea join race to sign PSG superstar

The race for Adrien Rabiot’s signature is heating up! With the Frenchman’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, several clubs across Europe have started to circle in on him.

Reports in France now suggest that Chelsea have made a move for the midfielder and are looking to hold talks with the player’s agent this week. They are looking to add more firepower to their squad and have set sights on the PSG star.

Meanwhile, reports in Germany claim that Bayern Munich have also shown interest in him and will be making an offer soon. They are still looking for a long-term replacement for Xabi Alonso and believe that Rabiot is the ideal one.

Joining Chelsea and Bayern in the race for Rabiot are Tottenham Hotspur if reports in Daily Star are to be believed. They claim that Spurs are looking to sign him in January itself but if they do not agree a deal with PSG, they will make a pre-contract offer to the midfielder.

Barcelona and Liverpool have been keen on signing him for some time now. They were in the hot seat so far but with so many clubs showing interest, things are changing every day.

Meanwhile, PSG are doing all they can to keep hold of the French midfielder. Their manager, Thomas Tuchel spoke highly of the midfielder in the recent interview with RMC and said, 'I love working with Rabiot.'

'I really like Adrien, he had a difficult situation when he voluntarily missed the World Cup, but his effort with the team has been maximum, he has not missed any training. He can be adapted to any system and if he is physically well he is essential for our approach.” added the manager.

Continuing to talk about him, he said, 'He has great potential and is a player trained in the club. It is very important to have footballers of this nature.'
