Chris Lynn to Return Home From PSL 2020

Chris Lynn scored 113 off 55 balls to power Lahore Qalandars into their first semi-final in the history of the PSL. Lahore will face Karachi Kings in the second semi-final. Chasing 188 to win Lynn and Fakhar Zaman gave Lahore a good start, who won the game at the end by nine wickets. In eight PSL 2020 matches, he amassed 284 runs with an average of 35.50 including one century and a fifty.

However, the big-hitting Australian batsman has decided to return home as a preventive measure against Coronavirus (COVID-19). “Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the @thepsl unfortunately in these circumstances I’ve chosen to head home, I’ve always said there is more to life than cricket and this is certainly one of these cases. I have full faith in the @lahoreqalandars to go all the way but more importantly have fun lads! Thank you to everyone involved, Pakistan you have been a blast,” Lynn wrote on his Instagram post.

While all other international and domestic cricket tournaments have either been postponed or cancelled by the respective cricket boards, PSL 2020 has also been postponed until further notice.

Lahore were due to face Karachi Kings in the second semi-final on March 17 while Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi will square off in the first match of the last-four. Both matches are going to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Meanwhile, Chris Lynn was roped in by Mumbai Indians at the IPL 2020 auctions. Kolkata Knight Riders decided to release him ahead of the IPL 2020 auctions. Lynn played for KKR from 2014 to 2019 scoring over 1000 runs with the franchise.
