Italian footballer Davide Iovinella quits aged 24 to become international porn star

Davide Iovinella, a former Italian footballer has decided to hang up his boots and is looking to follow his desire of becoming a porn star. The 24-year-old player had been seeking a rise in his financial fortunes whilst playing for Serie D side ASD Calcio.

In his pursuit for better finanes, Iovinella took the decision and had applied for a role in the adult movie industry. And now after successful auditions, he is set to work with director Rocco Siffredi – a legend in the adult movie industry.

Selected as one of 3000 to work with the director, Iovinella flew to Budapest earlier this month to visit Siffredi's Academy. He is set to take up the stage name of Davide Montana as he looks to prosper in his new endeavours.

Speaking in an interview about his new career, he said, 'It's not like being in bed with your partner, so you have to work hard and be stable.'

The youngster still maintains a love for the sport and revealed that his intentions are to try and find a local club in Hungary to play for.

He added: 'The ideal would be to find a club in Hungary.'

Not the first one

We have seen many others in the past looking to pursue a career from the field.

Time Weise, who was part of the German team that played in the 2010 World Cup decided to become a professional wrestler.

Meanwhile Harry Redknapp had earlier stated that Benoit Assou-Ekkoto – the former Tottenham left-back who currently plays for Metz was looking at a career in the adult movie industry when he tried to recruit his to Birmingham City.

However, the defender had later clarified that it was a joke from Redknapp and there was indeed nothing serious in it.

“The worst part is that since it came out, some of them have contacted me on Twitter.

“Jacquie and Michel left me a message saying ‘come and see us’. And Dorcel invited me to come for a casting. Not to mention the American actor who wanted me to become his apprentice.

“It made me laugh and I thank them, but I believe I will continue in football!” the defender had said in an interview to Goal.com last year.
