The Gauntlet match – Raw February 19th

Without a doubt, Seth Rollins has had one hell of a year so far in 2018. In February, when he was without a proper direction, the first-ever Gauntlet match on Raw gave him the much-needed platform to turn things around.

Competing in a six-man gauntlet which had the likes of Roman Reigns, John Cena, Elias, Baron Corbin and the Miz, Rollins survived in the match for well over an hour, breaking an all-time record for the longest appearance in a single match on Raw and earned himself a lot of plaudits in the process.

Rollins also did something that none of them managed to do as he pinned two of the top faces of the company, Roman Reigns and John Cena cleanly before he was eliminated by Elias. Post his exit, the tempo of the match went down gradually and the match ended with the Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman standing tall.

Though the second half of the match didn’t live up to the first half when Rollins was there, this was still one of the best matches in the main roster so far in 2018.
