FIM President Jorge Viegas praised Qatar yesterday for staging “two good” Grands Prix to kick off the new MotoGP season on schedule.
When the COVID-19 situation interrupted the international sports calendar worldwide last year, Qatar’s legendary Losail International Circuit (LIC) was scheduled to launch the 2020 MotoGP season. As a result, the 2020 season’s first-round in Qatar has been postponed.
On the other hand, LIC welcomed riders for two opening rounds of the 2021 season over two back-to-back weekends to cheer up the MotoGP camp.
