Men’s league to resume in September: Qatar Volleyball Association

The Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) said it will announce the match schedule of the postponed QVA Men’s League matches in the coming days.
QVA said clubs will be provided with the dates so that the remaining matches of the Men’s league are completed when action resumes in September.
Besides, the Men’s League the other competitions which are pending are the Qatar Cup, and the Amir Cup.
The last two competitions, which are generally held at the fag end of the season in the month of April and May, did not kick off while the Men’s League was into its last round when all sporting action was halted in Qatar owing to due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Most of the foreign players and coaches have returned to their home countries and will be returning as and when the dates are announced, the dates of the return of the foreign players and officials has not been decided yet.
Al Arabi are leading the points table with 44 points from 17 matches while Police are two points behind followed by Al Ahli, Al Rayyan in that order.
Al Wakra SC, Qatar SC, Al Khor, Al Gharaffa, Al Shamal and Al Sadd are the other teams in the league.
