Lewis Hall has embarked on a new journey as he departs from Chelsea and makes his way to Newcastle United on a season-long loan. The arrangement also includes an option for the Magpies to turn the move into a permanent one.
A product of Chelsea’s esteemed Academy system, the England youth international’s growth has been nurtured since his Under-8s days at Cobham. His early development culminated in a significant triumph as part of the team that secured the Under-18 Premier League Cup in 2022, his inaugural year as a scholar.
Remarkably, not long after his senior debut for Chelsea, he played a pivotal role in a 5-1 victory over Chesterfield during the FA Cup third round, showcasing his potential on a grand stage at Stamford Bridge.
Throughout the 2022/23 season, Hall continued to seamlessly balance his responsibilities between the Academy and senior squads. His dedication earned him 11 more appearances for the men’s team, with nearly all of them seeing him start on the field. A frequent occupant of the left-back position, he also claimed the title of Academy Player of the Year as the season drew to a close.
As Lewis Hall embarks on this new chapter of his career, we extend our gratitude for his contributions to Chelsea and send our best wishes for a successful season ahead.
