REASONS TEN HAG COULD BREAK HIS OWN UNBEATEN HOME RECORD

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is on the verge of achieving a remarkable personal milestone in his managerial career.

Should the Reds avoid defeat against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Saturday, the Dutch manager will surpass his own record for the highest number of consecutive home matches without a loss in all competitions.

The current streak stands at 30 games, which matches Ten Hag’s previous longest unbeaten run on home turf. This achievement, as disclosed by Opta, spanned from October 2017 to February 2019 during his tenure with both Utrecht and Ajax in his native Netherlands.

Of course, extended undefeated spells at the Theatre of Dreams are not unfamiliar in Manchester United’s illustrious history, particularly under the legendary management of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Following the 1-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the first home match of the season, our unbeaten streak at M16 reached a remarkable 30 matches in all competitions since the 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad in the Europa League on September 8, 2022.

As the weekend approaches, we anticipate the continuation of this impressive run, especially with former United winger Anthony Elanga among the visiting Nottingham Forest team. Notably, Forest suffered defeats of 2-0 and 3-0 at the Theatre of Dreams last season in the Carabao Cup and Premier League, respectively.
