Erik ten Hag’s Enjoyable Weekend: Resilient United Gears Up for Premier League

According to Erik ten Hag, it was a “good weekend” for Manchester United as they secured a last-gasp 1-1 draw against Athletic Club in Dublin, following a 3-1 victory over Lens at Old Trafford on Saturday.
United’s ability to come from behind and secure positive results in both matches has impressed the Dutch boss, who believes it bodes well for the upcoming Premier League season. Despite fielding a much-changed XI in Ireland, only Jadon Sancho and Omari Forson featured in both contests.
In the game against Athletic Club, Aitor Paredes’ red card on 67 minutes provided an opportunity for United to test their tactics against 10 men, and Ten Hag was pleased with how the team responded.
