Manchester United has officially announced that Fred’s transfer to Fenerbahce is now complete, pending international clearance.
The Brazilian international is set to make the move to the Turkish Super Lig, having successfully completed his medical assessments and agreed upon personal terms.
On Saturday, our number 17 traveled to Istanbul to undergo his medical tests, following the initial announcement of the agreement between Fenerbahce and Manchester United on Friday.
Fred, the midfielder, initially joined the club from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2018. Over his time with the Reds, he amassed a total of 213 appearances.
Among his 14 goals, a standout moment occurred this year when his goal against Barcelona leveled the match, helping us eliminate the Catalan giants from the Europa League.
He was present in the Emirates FA Cup final against Manchester City and played a role in our Carabao Cup victory earlier in the season. Fred’s most recent appearance was during the friendly triumph over Lyon in Edinburgh.
Known for his tenacity and dynamism on the field, Fred showcased his skills in both attacking and defensive midfield positions throughout his tenure with United. His dedicated approach resonated with fans and made him a beloved figure.
