Virat Kohli has achieved a few incredible feats in the ongoing Test series against England. He is the highest run-getter in the series by a huge margin and has taken on the English bowlers with aplomb. Unfortunately, India have not been able to get wins under their belt despite playing some great cricket. Apart from the 2nd Test, they went toe to toe with England in the first and the fourth Test.
Apart from being the highest run-getter, Kohli also banished his demons against his nemesis, James Anderson. The English veteran did not dismiss Kohli even once in the entire Test series so far and there is just one innings to go.
However, if there is one department in which Kohli has failed, it has been his reviews on the field. In the entire series, India have got quite a few reviews wrong, especially while fielding.
In the ongoing fifth Test at the Oval, India lost both their reviews in the second innings early on. Both the incidents were when Ravindra Jadeja was bowling. The first incident was against Jennings and the second one was against Cook. On both occasions, India lost the review for an LBW decision as the impact was outside the off-stump.
This led to former England captain hitting out at Kohli and calling him the worst reviewer in the world.
Vaughan expressed his views via Twitter.
“Virat is the best Batsman in the World .. #Fact .. Virat is the worst reviewer in the World ..,” is what he tweeted.
The Indian side is currently trailing 1-3 in the Test series and are facing an uphill task in the fifth and final Test as well. They will look to salvage some pride and make a comeback in this Test and get their second win of the series.
