Watch: Goat halts football game in Sudan!

GOAT (or, the Greatest Of All Time) has become a regular term for football fans to refer to the likes of Lionel Messi. While the Argentine’s presence on the field isn’t looked at as an invasion or intrusion, an actual goat’s presence is surely an unwelcomed one while the game is going on. And similar has been the case in the Sudan Premier League.

It happened during the match between Al Shorta and Al Hilal Omdurman. A goat entered the ground and the game had to stop for a while.

The players were undoubtedly puzzled due to the suddenness of the event. The security staff then desperately attempted to remove the goat from the pitch and the game resumed following their success.

Al Hilal registered a 1-0 victory as the game continued without further disturbances. The winning team moved within one point of the league leaders following its victory.

Previously there had been incidents of animals like cat, dog, and squirrel invading the pitch, but a goat’s appearance interrupting the game is one of its own kind.
