Whether Real Madrid will win the Champions League for the third time in a row remains to be seen. However, it feels more than likely that they will feature in the final four of the competition.
The defending champions virtually sealed their place in the semis of the Champions League this year after thrashing Juventus 3-0 in the first leg of their quarter-final clash at Turin thanks to a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo gave the visitors an early lead in the 3rd minute of the game when he redirected a low cross into the box from Isco. However, it was his second of the match that has already etched itself a place in the history of the game and certainly is one of his greatest goals ever.
Marcelo put the final nail in the coffin a few minutes later but it was Ronaldo’s goal that will live long into the memory.
A goal which can easily be considered as one of the greatest in the history of the competition.
In awe of greatness:
The reaction to the goal was predictably one to behold as football fans from all around the world showering in praises for the Real maestro.

We will never, ever see a player who dominates football like Cristiano Ronaldo. Destroyed the Premier League, destroyed La Liga, the Champions League is his playground, internationally superb. His legacy on our sport is unrivalled.

People who instantly compare Messi to Ronaldo after a goal, and vice versa, do not deserve to watch football.
