Transfer Rumors From Today’s Euro Papers

With the winter transfer window approaching some serious talks have been going on around Europe. Here’s to look at this week’s latest transfer rumors.

Manchester United to sell David De Gea?

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea will be sold at the end of the season for £75 million. David de Gea is set to become the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world by joining Paris Saint-Germain in the summer when his contract runs out at Manchester United. The Spanish keeper’s contract runs out on June 2019 and he is free to talk from January 1.

Barcelona keen on Rabiot

French midfielder Adrien Rabiot remained silent on his future and said he will only comment only needed after Barcelona and PSG are in a Tug of war over getting the world cup winner next summer. Rabiot’s contract expires next season with Barca planning to trigger his 9 million trigger clause.

Atletico to hand Oblak new contract

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has confirmed that the club have opened contract talks with goalkeeper Jan Oblak. The Slovenia international has developed into one of the world’s top shot-stoppers, and Atletico are keen to tie down their star man. Jan Oblak is one of the five nominees for FIFA Best Goalkeeper award.

Higuain could return to Juventus

AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain could return to parent club Juventus at the end of the season. The on-loan striker has performed well for Milan, but the club could be forced to part with him at season’s end due to financial constraints. Milan paid €18 million to loan Higuain for the season, but the San Siro club may not be able to take up their €36 million option to buy.

Juventus want Marcelo

Real Madrid have turned down an approach from Juventus to sign full-back Marcelo in the January transfer window. President Florentino Perez gave the Serie A club, who are looking for a possible replacement for Alex Sandro, an instant rejection as he regards the 30-year-old as the best left-back in the world.
