Spanish giants Real Madrid are to recover from the sale of their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, and it cannot be more evident after they find themselves struggling in the La Liga this season. With Ronaldo now at Juventus, the goals have dried up and looks like Real Madrid cannot cope with it.
The Los Blancos have been desperately searching for Ronaldo’s replacement but replacing a player of his calibe was never going to be easy. However, one Liverpool player seems to be the answer to Florentino Perez’ problems and Real Madrid are willing to offer the Reds one of the best young prospects in world football.
As per a report in Gol Digital, Real Madrid are keen on signing Liverpool’s mercurial forward, Mohammed Salah. The Egyptian king has been one of the stand out players in the Premier League since he signed for Jurgen Klopp’s side two summers ago. Salah, who was named the Premier League player of the season last year for his break out campaign, has continued his fine form this year. Since moving to Liverpool the Egyptian has found the back of the next on 59 ocassions in 78 appperances across all competitions.
However, to sign Mohammed Salah, Real Madrid are willing to offer Marco Asensio in return to please Jurgen Klopp and the Reds. Asensio who is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in world football had a breakout season last year, but failed to replicate his form this season. Hence Real Madrid believe, it is the right time to offload the Spaniard before his valuation drops even further.
However, Real Madrid and Liverpool met in the Champions League final last year and Real Madrid’s captain Sergio Ramos ended up injuring Mohammed Salah.
